Here's an article I thought was interesting.
Buying or selling a home is SO MUCH more complicated than
buying or selling stuff on the internet or making travel arrangements! I am
amazed that business people think that they can grab the industry, tweak it
with a certain business model, and squeeze profit out of it. I think they
forget that, although there are similarities in every transaction, each piece
of real estate is unique. Each seller-buyer combination is unique. And each one
of my clients deserves my best, my most professional!! Not my most economic, made that way with shortcuts.
This week I am working with buyers who want to
purchase a For Sale By Owner house. In this case, I treat the sellers as
customers and can’t advise them in any way. However, I am arranging appointments
and being there to represent the real estate transaction. I am preparing
routine documents. I am communicating with everyone involved in the
transaction. And, I am doing it for both sides!!
Because I do this full-time, I am familiar with the process, the people, and the documents. I can’t envision a person buying or selling a home without a full-time Realtor® to navigate, advise, and advocate.
